Qualifications:
- Valid moderate disabilities certification (grades 5-12) required
- Experience working in special education settings at the middle school or high school level
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, support staff, and families
- Proficiency in implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, and adapting instruction
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct special education services to students, adapting instruction to meet individual IEP goals
- Develop and maintain lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and parents to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development opportunities
