Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Current teaching certification for Special Education in Texas (or eligibility)
- Experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges (grades 1-3)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training preferred
- Flexibility and strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Support and instruct a small group (4 students, grades 1-3) with severe behavioral needs
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Apply de-escalation techniques and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to promote student success
- Document progress and adapt plans as needed
