Step into a rewarding teaching opportunity supporting elementary students with significant emotional and behavioral needs in a self-contained classroom. This full-time, on-site contract role is situated in a supportive, collaborative school community. You’ll be the primary Special Education Teacher for one elementary campus, focusing on making a lasting impact with a manageable caseload and dedicated indirect time for paid team meetings and administrative work.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid Special Education Teacher license in Colorado
- Experience working with elementary-age students, especially those with serious emotional or behavioral disabilities

- Strong classroom management and individualized instructional strategies
- Ability to build rapport with students and collaborate with colleagues
- Commitment to in-person instruction throughout the academic year
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction and develop individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Collaborate with general educators, school counselors, and support staff to address student needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and contribute to parent meetings and IEP conferences
- Participate in team meetings during paid indirect time and maintain compliance with district and state regulations
The position offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, from ASAP through late May 2027, with no travel or multi-campus assignments. Interviews are conducted via Zoom, and prompt hiring decisions are made for qualified candidates.
