Special Education Teachers play an essential role in helping students achieve their full potential by providing individualized support and instruction tailored to diverse learning needs. This rewarding contract opportunity in Massachusetts involves working across varied K-12 caseloads, offering the chance to support students in multiple classroom settings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Massachusetts Special Education License is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education is preferred.
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and administration.
- Ability to adapt to varying classroom environments and student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff to modify curricula and classroom activities as needed.
- Track and document student progress, updating goals and strategies as appropriate.
- Engage students using a variety of instructional techniques to address different learning styles.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings and student support teams.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations concerning special education services.
