Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
- Adaptive Curriculum certification required
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged students
- Background supporting students in self-contained or ECS classrooms preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Passion for adapting lessons to each student’s unique needs and abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver adaptive curriculum lessons tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere for no more than 10 students
- Collaborate with instructional aides, specialists, and families to maximize student growth
- Keep accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain compliance with all school and state requirements for special education programs
