Position Options Available:
- Math Resource Teacher: Requires Special Education Certification and Math Certification.
- Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher: Requires Special Education Certification and Core Content Certification.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Special Education Certification (SPED Cert) for the state of Texas.
- Possess the required subject area certification for the specific assignment (Math Cert and/or Core Content Cert).
- Demonstrate recent, relevant experience in a similar position—highlight academic resource, math, or life skills experience on your resume.
- Comfortable with an onsite role and committed to engaging with the school community through May 21, 2027.
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction according to IEPs, adapting lessons for diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student progress.
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with state and district policies.
- Develop supportive, inclusive environments that encourage participation and confidence in students.
