Qualifications and Experience
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Demonstrated experience (or practicum) in elementary special education settings
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Adaptability to address diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored instruction to students based on IEPs and individual learning plans
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families
- Create a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
- Employ evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to engage all students
- Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions to support student growth
- Foster independence and confidence in each learner
