Position Overview
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Adaptive Special Education Teacher for an onsite K-5 assignment in Gainesville, Georgia, for the 2026–2027 school year. This education industry opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with significant learning needs through individualized instruction and adaptive curriculum strategies. The selected professional will work closely with school staff, families, and related service providers to help students achieve meaningful academic, functional, and social growth.
Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) while adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs. Develop and implement instructional plans using adaptive curriculum resources that promote student engagement and independence. Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Foster a structured, supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior, communication, and academic success.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid Georgia K-5 Special Education Teacher License with an Adaptive Curriculum Endorsement issued through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GA PSC). Previous experience working with elementary students receiving adaptive or functional curriculum instruction is preferred but not required. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role, along with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and educational teams.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time contract opportunity for the 2026–2027 school year, offering 37.5 hours per week with an hourly pay range of $34.25 to $47.50, based on experience and qualifications.
