Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License/certification
- Experience working in special education settings, preferably with mild interventions
- Proficiency in completing Teacher of Record duties
- Strong background writing IEPs and conducting progress monitoring
- Collaborative approach to working with fellow educators, service providers, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver instruction for 5th and 6th graders using push-in and pull-out models, addressing a range of mild interventions
- Serve as Teacher of Record: manage caseloads, ensure compliance, and document educational progress
- Write, update, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including scheduling and leading meetings with families and team members
- Monitor student growth and adjust instructional strategies as needed to help each student meet their goals
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other staff to promote inclusion and best practices throughout the school
- Maintain accurate records and data for reporting and progress monitoring
