Requirements and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience with mild interventions, preferably in upper elementary or middle grade levels
- Proficiency with existing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including writing, implementing, and monitoring progress
- Capable of fulfilling Teacher of Record responsibilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation
- Clear communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a student-centered team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dynamic instruction and targeted interventions to 5th and 6th graders in both push-in and pull-out formats
- Develop, review, and update IEPs, maintaining ongoing progress monitoring
- Collaborate closely with general education staff, paraeducators, and specialists
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education guidelines throughout daily practice
- Maintain records and communications, serving as the main point of contact for assigned students
- Participate actively in case conferences, parent meetings, and relevant professional development
