Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher certification (SPED) appropriate for early childhood
- Experience delivering instruction and services to early childhood-aged students
- Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and meeting facilitation
- Ability to travel to Kiowa, Bennett, and Byers schools for on-site duties
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable using technology for remote meetings and paperwork
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education services and assessments in-person, ensuring all student needs are met per their individualized plans
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs, in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Coordinate with classroom teachers, support staff, and administrators to integrate specialized strategies
- Manage and complete all necessary documentation and reporting, leveraging the flexibility of remote work for non-direct service tasks
- Adapt instruction and interventions to various learning environments
