Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Certified in Special Education, with valid Arizona credentials
- Previous experience teaching special education in resource or traditional classroom settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adaptable, compassionate, and committed to fostering inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with a range of needs and abilities
- Oversee and adapt curriculum to ensure accommodations and modifications are met
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and parents to support student success
- Assess student progress, monitor data, and report on performance toward IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training sessions
- Create a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere to optimize learning and personal growth
