- Current, valid Arizona Special Education teaching certificate
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Expertise in developing and modifying individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including general educators, administrators, and family members
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support services to K-8 students in a resource classroom setting
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet varied learning styles and abilities
- Monitor student progress, update IEPs, and maintain accurate documentation according to state and federal guidelines
- Stay current on best practices in special education, utilizing innovative resources and interventions
- Communicate with parents and guardians to support student growth and engagement
- Participate in professional development and school-based meetings as required
