Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, ideally in a resource or high school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Skilled in building positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with a range of abilities in a resource room setting
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs, progress reports, and student records
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to meet each student’s unique needs
- Employ data-driven strategies and interventions to boost educational outcomes
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where students feel respected and supported
- Participate in professional development, team meetings, and ongoing training
