Play a key role in supporting young learners by providing specialized educational services in a vibrant elementary school environment. An experienced Intervention Specialist is needed to deliver high-quality instruction and support to kindergarten students. Key Qualifications:
- Active Ohio certificate/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate)
- Experience in resource room settings, small group tutoring, and inclusion models
- Skilled in supporting students with multiple disabilities
- Comfortable collaborating with staff and engaging diverse student populations
- Proficient in developing and writing IEPs, and familiar with implementing special education best practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to kindergarten students with a range of moderate to intensive support needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Design, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Utilize data-driven teaching strategies and progress monitoring tools to guide instruction and intervention
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians to foster strong home-school partnerships
- Adapt instructional materials and environments to support each child’s unique learning requirements
