Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state credentials required)
- Prior experience teaching or supporting students with mild/moderate disabilities in elementary settings
- Proficiency with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, positive, and adaptive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and individualized instruction to a caseload of approximately 20 elementary students
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to address diverse learning needs
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom community
Schedule and Environment:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday, Thursday, Friday: 7:40 am – 2:50 pm; Wednesday: 8:40 am – 2:50 pm
- Onsite instruction required (virtual option not available)
- Elementary classroom with an estimated caseload of 20 students
