Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary setting, working with a mild to moderate caseload. This contract position provides a chance to collaborate with dedicated staff and nurture young learners in a supportive and inclusive environment. The assignment is full-time, with approximately 40 hours per week, serving a caseload of about 20 students. The district is eager for someone to start as soon as possible, with the contract running through late May 2027.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for appropriate grade level
- Previous experience working in elementary special education settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
- Ability to modify curriculum and deliver differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and students
- Dedication to creating an engaging, inclusive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Develop and administer individualized education plans for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Deliver direct instruction and interventions aligned with IEPs
- Maintain and monitor accurate student records, progress reports, and documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support personnel to facilitate student success
- Employ evidence-based best practices to foster a positive classroom climate
- Engage regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates and resources
- Address behavioral, social, and emotional needs as part of a comprehensive educational approach
