Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Special Education certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Demonstrated experience working with elementary and/or middle school students in special education settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development, compliance, and implementation
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with families, classroom teachers, and related service providers
- Proficient in case management and maintaining thorough, accurate student records
- Experience with data collection strategies to monitor student progress and inform instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a split caseload of elementary and middle school students with various disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide targeted instruction and support tailored to each student’s needs
- Maintain detailed records, collecting and analyzing data on student progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth and meaningful inclusion
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education services
