Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Mild Interventions Special Education Teacher supporting 5th and 6th grade learners. You’ll provide essential push-in and pull-out services in a dynamic intermediate school setting, collaborating with a dedicated team to foster an inclusive environment. This position is integral in delivering individualized support to students and ensuring compliance with all teaching and documentation requirements.

Your expertise in special education will be put to use in shaping student success, overseeing Teacher of Record responsibilities, developing and maintaining IEPs, as well as progress monitoring. You'll work closely with cooperative support teams and other educators to design interventions that help each student thrive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education, with appropriate state credentials
  • Experience supporting mild interventions, preferably within elementary or middle school settings
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, write, and implement IEPs
  • Capable of fulfilling Teacher of Record duties and managing compliance paperwork
  • Skilled at providing both push-in and pull-out services to meet diverse learning needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Familiarity with progress monitoring and adapting instruction based on student data

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative special education services within 5th and 6th grade classrooms
  • Develop and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress
  • Complete Teacher of Record responsibilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers
  • Adapt lessons to individual learning goals, and offer student-centered interventions
  • Maintain detailed records and provide timely progress reports
