- Valid New Hampshire teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with mental health or behavioral challenges
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and case management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Flexibility and a compassionate, student-focused approach
Key responsibilities:
- Instruct a self-contained classroom of approximately 10-16 students with behavioral and mental health needs
- Develop and implement comprehensive IEPs addressing individual strengths and challenges
- Conduct thorough student evaluations and ongoing progress monitoring
- Maintain meticulous case management paperwork and reporting
- Participate actively in meetings with parents, related service providers, and colleagues
- Collaborate closely with school staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Foster a positive, structured classroom to optimize students’ academic and social-emotional growth
This contract offers consistent weekly hours, aligning with the school calendar from early September to mid-June, and follows a school day schedule of 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM, allowing for personal time in the afternoons.
