Special Education Teacher | Harlem, Georgia
Bring your passion for supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder to an engaging contract opportunity for the 2026/2027 school year. In this full-time, onsite position, you’ll serve as an ASD teacher, collaborating daily with fellow educators, supporting IEP implementation, and tailoring strategies to meet each student’s unique needs. As a valued resource, your skills in classroom management and documentation will help ensure your students receive the guidance and education they deserve.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid and active Georgia Special Education Teacher licensure/certification (confirmation required with application)
- Proven experience in a school-based special education (SPED) environment strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support personnel
- Strong classroom management skills and experience supporting individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Availability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, on site for the entire school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Adapt curriculum and develop strategies to ensure every student’s success
- Work closely with general education staff to support inclusion and progress
- Implement, manage, and monitor IEPs
- Maintain accurate documentation and support regular communication with families
