Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Solid knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, support staff, and families
- Ability to adapt curriculum and foster a supportive educational environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to high school students with diverse learning needs
- Create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and other support staff to deliver accommodations and modifications
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Attend team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions as required
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school atmosphere
