Special Education Teacher - Hartford, Connecticut

Desired Qualifications:
- Active and current Connecticut Special Education (SPED) Teacher License
- All state-required certifications for special education teachers
- Previous experience in a classroom, resource room, or special education setting
- Ability to adapt instruction for various age groups and individual learning needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to offer updates and support
- Maintain a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom culture
- Flexibly transition between assignments or age groups as needed
This contract offers consistent, full-time hours (35 hours per week) and the chance to work closely with fellow educators during critical FMLA coverage.
