Special Education Teacher - Henderson, Colorado

This contract position, located near Henderson, CO, runs from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, and offers full-time hours, Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week).

Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teaching Licensure from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) required
- Previous experience teaching in a Special Education setting—particularly with significant support needs—highly preferred
- Strong instructional, classroom management, and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide differentiated instruction and support to a small group of high school students
- Supervise, train, and collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals
- Communicate regularly with families and allied professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with special education regulations
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth for all students in the classroom
