Key Qualifications:
- Valid EC Adaptive Curriculum Licensure required
- Previous experience with moderate/severe caseloads preferred
- Background working with 3rd-5th grade students in special education
- Ability to support and manage a self-contained classroom of 7 students
- Compassionate, flexible, and dedicated to meeting students’ unique needs
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach and support students in a self-contained classroom, focusing on adaptive curriculum
- Manage and adapt lesson plans to fit the abilities of students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement IEP goals
- Maintain detailed documentation and track progress towards academic and behavioral objectives
