Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Michigan Special Education (SPED) license required
- Experience working in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classrooms strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Skilled in adapting curriculum and strategies to diverse learning needs
- Strong communication skills for partnering with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to elementary learners in an ASD classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with staff and parents
- Employ differentiated instructional methods tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Engage with paraprofessional staff for classroom support as needed
