Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education (SPED)
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavioral management strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and educational teams
- Ability to adapt lessons and materials for various learning styles and abilities
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, modify, and deliver effective instructional lessons tailored to students' IEP goals
- Assess student abilities and progress, maintaining accurate, timely documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Foster an inclusive, positive atmosphere that encourages student confidence and self-advocacy
- Utilize creative problem-solving to address academic, behavioral, and social challenges
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required
