Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active North Carolina Special Education Teacher certification required
- Prior experience in a school-based Special Education setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency with preparing and managing Special Education paperwork, including IEP documentation
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communicator who collaborates well with students, families, and educational teams
- Adaptable and compassionate, with a demonstrated commitment to helping each student succeed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Complete all required Special Education documentation accurately and timely
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal Special Education regulations
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere
