Available Positions:
- Math Resource Teacher: Requires both Special Education Certification and Math Certification. You’ll deliver targeted math instruction, adapting curriculum and strategies to individual needs.
- Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher: Requires Special Education Certification and certification in a core content area. This position focuses on supporting students with academic and vocational skill-building, fostering independence and life readiness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate—state-issued and up to date.
- Required certifications based on desired role: Math Certification for Math Resource Teacher; Core content certification for Life Skills Teacher.
- Proven experience working in special education settings within schools.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support teams.
- Ability to develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) according to student needs.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and implement engaging lesson plans for students with diverse educational needs.
- Maintain accurate student records and track progress toward IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support each student's educational and behavioral growth.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaboration, and ongoing professional development.
