Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) in Illinois
- Experience with children diagnosed with Developmental Delay, Specific Learning Disability, and Other Health Impairments
- Familiarity with inclusion and pull-out instructional models preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Previous experience with grades 1st–2nd a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction for a caseload of 12 elementary students (grades 1st–2nd) within an inclusive classroom setting
- Deliver both in-class support and, as needed, targeted pull-out services
- Adapt lessons for a variety of learning abilities and needs
- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
