Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience teaching resource/inclusion settings in 3rd-5th or 6th-8th grade strongly preferred
- Proven expertise managing and instructing students with significant Autism, particularly in a self-contained classroom
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Team-player ready to collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Compassion and adaptability to support students across a range of abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students in resource or inclusion settings
- Design and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to student needs and IEP goals
- Provide support in academic, behavioral, and social realms—especially for children in self-contained Autism programs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and collaborate in IEP meetings
- Participate in professional development and ongoing team collaboration
- Create a positive, structured, and safe learning environment for all students
