Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in Texas
- Previous experience working with elementary students in life skills or related special education settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation

- Excellent communication skills for working with families, colleagues, and support personnel
- Adaptability and creative problem-solving skills
- Commitment to evidence-based instructional strategies for diverse learners
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with varied disabilities
- Differentiate instruction to address the unique academic, behavioral, and emotional needs of each student
- Encourage student independence and foster development of daily living and social skills
- Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and classroom teachers
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of student progress and IEP compliance
- Communicate regularly with families, sharing student growth and strategies for continued success
- Contribute to a positive school environment by participating in team meetings, IEPs, and staff development
