Special Education Teacher Life Skills (Kyle, TX)
𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 – 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀
Valor Education is seeking a Special Education Life Skills Teacher for a full-time onsite contract position for the 2026–2027 school year in Kyle, TX. This is a unique opportunity for a Special Education Teacher looking for a very small caseload and the ability to provide individualized support to students in a Life Skills setting.
The position will support just 3 K–12 students. The teacher will provide specialized academic and functional instruction, implement IEP goals, monitor student progress, and collaborate with school staff and related service providers.
𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
· Provide specialized instruction to K–12 students in a Life Skills setting
· Implement, monitor, and support student IEP goals
· Provide individualized academic and functional instruction
· Track and document student progress
· Support development of independent living and functional life skills
· Collaborate with related service providers, teachers, families, and school staff
· Adapt instruction based on individual student needs
· Maintain required special education documentation and records
𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲:
· Previous Special Education teaching experience preferred
· Life Skills classroom experience strongly preferred
· Experience supporting students with individualized academic and functional needs preferred
· Candidates should be comfortable working with a small K–12 caseload
𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲:
· Active Texas Special Education Teaching Certification required
· Must meet all Texas requirements for Special Education teaching
· Must successfully complete all required background and employment requirements
