Key Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Special Education Teaching License
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) certification
- Experience designing and adapting instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to foster a positive, supportive classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for all students on your caseload
- Adapt lessons and materials to meet unique learning requirements
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
- Communicate progress and strategies with parents and guardians
This position is a full-time contract role, working 40 hours per week across a traditional 5-day school week. You’ll nurture student growth, work collaboratively, and become an integral part of a forward-thinking education team.
