Step into an impactful role serving middle school students with diverse learning needs as a Special Education Case Manager. This contract opportunity, extending through June 2027 (or until a direct hire is secured), will focus on supporting 8th grade students at a vibrant middle school setting. You’ll play a pivotal part in collaborating with faculty, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure students receive effective and individualized support—primarily addressing needs related to Autism, ADHD, and a variety of learning disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Special Education License (1900 Teaching Endorsement) highly preferred; applicants eligible for a letter of eligibility (based on relevant coursework) are also strongly encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher or Case Manager working within 4th-8th grade settings.
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with a talent for case management and communication.
- Energy, patience, and creativity to help students reach their full potential.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20-30 8th grade students, coordinating services, supports, and IEP goals.
- Work collaboratively with other case managers to manage a total service population of roughly 78 students across grades.
- Oversee the implementation of individual learning plans, working closely with paraprofessionals to best support students who require additional assistance.
- Document progress, prepare IEPs, participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and liaise with parents/guardians.
- Provide ongoing support and advocacy to empower students with special needs.
