Special Education Teacher - Ladson, South Carolina

Multiple elementary schools and one high school within the district offer specialized placements, including settings for mild disabilities, Autism, multiple severe disabilities, emotional disturbance, and preschool environments. Preferred Background & Qualifications:
- Current South Carolina Special Education teaching license (SPED)—required
- Experience or strong interest in elementary and/or high school populations
- Ability to work full-time, onsite, in a collaborative team setting
- Adaptability to meet diverse student needs across a range of disabilities
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Passion for creating inclusive, supportive learning spaces
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to your assigned caseload
- Partner with general education staff, families, and related service providers
- Foster a positive, nurturing classroom environment
- Provide differentiated instruction and behavioral supports as needed
- Collect data, assess student progress, and report outcomes
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional development
