Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee Special Education (TN SPED) certification required
- Demonstrated experience or passion for working with middle school-aged students
- Proficiency in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, staff, and students
- Ability to manage a diverse student caseload and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to each student’s IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive practices
- Track and document student progress, making data-driven instructional adjustments as needed
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and team consultations
- Maintain all necessary compliance documentation and records
