Key Qualifications:
- Possess a current, active Ohio certificate/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate)
- Experience working with students with multiple disabilities and a variety of backgrounds
- Comfortable delivering instruction via resource room, small group tutoring, and inclusive classroom settings
- Capable of collaborating with staff, service providers, and families
- Able to effectively access and draft Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Demonstrate adaptability and compassion when supporting diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized instruction for kindergarten students in accordance with IEP goals
- Create an engaging, supportive classroom atmosphere that fosters student growth
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet each student’s needs
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers and paraprofessionals to optimize inclusive opportunities
- Participate in IEP meetings, communicate progress, and contribute to student evaluation plans
- Support students in both academic and social/emotional domains
This contract runs from as soon as possible through May 27, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll have the unique opportunity to empower students at the foundational stage of their education and be part of a committed, resourceful team.
