These full-time positions start as soon as possible and extend through May 21, 2027, providing consistency and the chance to build meaningful relationships with students and colleagues. Hours are Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.
Currently, there are two available roles:
- Middle School Life Skills (requires credentials in Special Education and core content areas)
- Elementary Resource/Inclusion (requires both Special Education and core or generalist certification)
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education certification and core or generalist certification for assigned area
- Previous experience teaching in a special education setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion for fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom climate
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and adapt instruction to diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver personalized instruction to empower students of varying abilities
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and family members
- Assess student progress and participate in ARD/IEP meetings
- Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
