Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification, with experience in elementary settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Familiarity with behavioral interventions and individualized instructional strategies
- Ability to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for students with diverse needs
- Patient, adaptable, and collaborative with excellent communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction in a separate setting classroom, tailored to individual student needs
- Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and team members
- Create and maintain a structured and nurturing classroom atmosphere
- Work closely with support staff and related service providers to implement accommodations
- Regularly assess students’ progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
- Communicate with parents and caregivers to support student growth and well-being
