Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (preferred Arizona certificate)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience with cross-categorical or behavioral programs preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to individualized instruction and positive behavior support
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learning profiles
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored IEPs for each student in your care
- Design and adapt curriculum materials to suit individual and group needs
- Use evidence-based practices to support positive classroom behavior
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Track and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Foster a caring, structured, and engaging classroom community
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based teams
