You will be placed in one of two environments:
- Laveen Elementary (4th/5th grade, 6 students)
- Desert Meadows (5th/7th grade, 6 students)
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience with Cross Categorical Behavior (CCB) students preferred
- Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct and support a small group of students with cross-categorical behavioral needs
- Design and implement individualized, engaging lesson plans
- Collaborate with general educators, families, and support staff
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Cultivate a positive, encouraging learning space
