Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Kansas Special Education (SPED) License
- Experience teaching or supporting students with autism and intensive needs (Early Childhood or Elementary age preferred)
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to implement differentiated instruction
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with families, students, and school teams
- Commitment to fostering a positive, adaptive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and behavioral support to students with intensive needs
- Develop, adapt, and implement IEPs tailored to individual student goals
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support academic, social, and emotional growth
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members regarding student progress and needs
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development as required
