Qualifications:
- Active Kansas state licensure for teaching at assigned grade level (must be presented prior to district submission)
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Confidence in managing classrooms for life skills, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral intervention
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to individualized instruction and student-centered teaching
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
- Collaborate with staff, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Employ diverse instructional strategies to engage and empower all learners
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirements
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
