This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for a passionate, licensed adaptive EC educator ready to step into a supportive environment and impact a small group of learners.
You’ll work with 7-8 students in an adaptive EC classroom, supported by two dedicated paraprofessionals. The position begins as soon as possible and runs through May 26, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. If you are motivated, compassionate, and eager to help elementary students achieve their goals, this is an excellent chance to shine.
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Adaptive EC License (required)
- Experience working in special education, especially with adaptive or exceptional children’s programs
- Ability to differentiate instruction based on individual student needs
- Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work as part of a classroom team
- Committed, responsible, and flexible attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver adaptive instruction for elementary-aged students with exceptional needs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals to create an organized, nurturing classroom environment
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
