Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching license or eligibility for certification
- Previous experience working with high school students preferred
- Deep understanding of inclusion best practices and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Commitment to advocating for students with diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as an advisor, facilitating advisory classes for grades 9–12
- Deliver direct academic support and instruction to students for four periods daily
- Implement IEP goals and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and thorough records
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure all students receive appropriate support
- Create a nurturing and positive classroom atmosphere that prioritizes both educational achievement and social-emotional growth
