About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adapted Curriculum Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to join a supportive school district in Lincoln, NC. This educator will provide specialized instruction and support to students with significant cognitive disabilities, helping them develop academic, functional, social, and independent living skills.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and state standards.
Deliver adapted curriculum instruction tailored to individual student needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families.
Utilize data-driven instructional practices to monitor student progress.
Support students in developing communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and parent conferences.
Qualifications
Active North Carolina Exceptional Children (EC) Teaching License or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Experience working with students who require adapted curriculum instruction preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development, behavior management strategies, and differentiated instruction.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
