Openings include:
- Learning Specialist (Elementary, mild/moderate needs)
- Affective Needs (High School, emotional/behavioral needs, team lead role)
Positions begin July 27, 2026 and run through May 21, 2027, with 37.5-hour work weeks assigned to one school site per contract.
Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Department of Education Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement required
- Experience serving elementary and/or high school students within a special education setting
- For the Affective Needs assignment:
- Credentials in or familiarity with CPI, de-escalation, ABA strategies, FBA, BIP strongly preferred
- Autism experience necessary
- Background supporting special education math curriculum preferred
- Ability to complete required district documentation and time-sensitive onboarding
- Excellent interpersonal skills and eagerness to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess individual student needs, develop and implement IEP goals, and deliver instruction tailored for diverse learning and behavioral requirements
- Serve as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating effectively with families, paraprofessionals, and specialists
- For team lead role: supervise and mentor paraprofessionals, manage classroom behavior strategies, and cultivate a positive, safe learning environment
