Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (5-21)
- License must be a Professional Teacher License with the correct endorsement; proof required
- Cannot accept travelers or substitute, temporary, interim, hybrid, or VOCO arrangements
- Demonstrated background delivering instruction using specialized strategies and practices for diverse learners
- Extensive knowledge of the IEP process, including documentation and collaboration with multidisciplinary IEP teams
- Strong instructional skills and familiarity with Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) tailored to individual student needs
- Prior experience supporting students on alternative standards highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and differentiated support services for designated students in a middle school setting
- Develop and implement effective instructional plans aligned with individual IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families
- Monitor, document, and report student progress; contribute to evaluation and eligibility meetings
- Maintain rigorous compliance with IDEA, state, and district regulations
