This dynamic, onsite role is located near the Longmont and Brighton, CO areas and runs from August 20, 2026, through June 3, 2027. Experience a balanced schedule, working Tuesday through Friday, with Mondays off, and enjoy a 34-hour work week from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education licensure
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within school settings
- Knowledge and ability to support students with mild/moderate disabilities
- Commitment to creating inclusive and effective learning environments
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in classroom and small group settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with mild/moderate learning needs, adapting curriculum to meet individual IEP goals
- Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor student progress
- Maintain rigorous documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal educational regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster student success
- Facilitate IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to celebrate progress and address concerns
